Paradise
Creek Nature
Park is the 40-acre public access
piece of a larger project involving
a total of 250 acres in public and
private restoration and
conservation. More than 20 projects
on the 250 acres will help
demonstrate that nature and industry
can co-exist and that one of the most
polluted bodies of water in the
world can be made cleaner and safer.
The park can help prove that a
world-class harbor can also provide
space for the soul in this,
the only public access to Paradise
Creek.
From wetlands to forests, residents
and visitors will enjoy recreational
and educational opportunities like
tidal gardens, a tree-canopy
boardwalk, a Victory Pavilion,
earthworks sculpture and other
artwork, kayak and canoe trails, an
interpretive trail along 11 acres of
restored tidal wetlands, outdoor
classrooms and science labs, an
off-the-grid Interpretive Center
designed by UVA students, and so
much more! Open the links
